As remote as it sounds, Flathead Lake Lodge is actually quite easy to get to for your dude ranch vacation. Glacier Park International Airport (FCA), located 30 minutes from the ranch and offers daily flights. |

| Lodging: | Tucked along the shores of Flathead Lake amongst large fir and pine trees, each cottage at our guest ranch has a queen or twin beds in separate bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and a porch overlooking Flathead Lake. The log style cottages feature two or three bedrooms, decorated with a western motif for an authentic Montana feel. The log lodges have a large sitting area with walk-in fireplaces, the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee and reminisce about the days adventures horseback riding and boating. Family rooms in the lodges accommodate up to four people with a queen bed, small sitting area, private bath, and two twin beds in the loft. | Kids' Program: | Children's Horseback Rides Children's horseback rides take place several times throughout the day. Children 6 and older may ride their own horse on the Montana mountain trails with one of our experienced wranglers, who have a way with both children and horses and are always available for companionship. On Saturday mornings, the kids show off their horse savvy, in the Children's Rodeo. Junior Wranglers Kids can become "Junior Wranglers" while at the ranch. They'll learn about saddling, horse care, grooming and barn duties throughout the week. "Junior Wranglers" are able to partake in the daily operation of a working stable. Scooping poop is one of the favorite chores at the barn. Kids Overnight Camp Kid's (6-12) have the opportunity to spend a night in authentic teepees on our dude ranch property. At the camp, kids enjoy roasting marshmallows, children's games and ghost stories, accompanied by members of the guest ranch staff. |
| Food/Dining: | Flathead Lake Lodge is proud to serve family-style Montana meals, accompanied by our homemade breads and desserts, made fresh daily for our guests lodging at the dude ranch. To accommodate our daily extensive activities, meals are served at 8:00am, 12:00pm and 6:00pm for children; and 8:30am, 12:30pm and 6:30pm for adults. A daily happy hour gathering for adults offers a variety of hearty hors d' oeuvres in our private Saddle Sore Saloon. Tales of the day - whether it be a sailing escapade or a horseback riding venture - are swapped freely among guests and cowboys. Lunch is served outside on the deck of the Main Lodge, overlooking Flathead Lake. Our executive chef will happily accommodate special dietary needs. Please visit with our chef upon arrival. |
